Good morning southern Colorado! Here's what you need to know to start you off on your Tuesday morning.

Warmer than normal for second day of fall

The second day of Fall is underway, but it's going to feel a lot more like Summer! Cloud cover in the afternoon will slowly be replaced with sunshine as the day goes on. The winds will be light and we'll stay dry through the afternoon.

USPS to hold job fair at Colorado Springs office for immediate openings

Anyone interested in applying can attend the session from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn more about the positions available. The United States Postal Service said there are immediate openings available for both seasonal and long-term positions.

Today is National Voter Registration Day

The El Paso County Election Staff is hosting a voter drive at the Citizens Service Center on Garden of the Gods Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. You can register to vote or check your existing information and make updates if necessary.

Bear proof trashcans could soon be required on Colorado Springs' west side

Colorado Parks and Wildlife reports they received 480 bear calls this year. The City Council agreed to move ahead on the wording of an ordinance to cut down on bear encounters by requiring homes in certain areas to use bear-proof trash cans.

Trump out to square America First with united front on Iran

President Trump will go before the United Nations General Assembly today to try to square his "America First" approach to foreign policy. The administration's hope is for a multi-national response to Iran's escalating aggression.
