DENVER – Governor Jared Polis has proclaimed May 17, 2019, as Colorado Centenarian Day!

The Colorado Commission on Aging is hosting a very special celebration, ceremony, and luncheon for all Coloradans, and their guests, who have reached or will reach 100 years of age or older in 2019.

Every May, the Administration for Community Living leads the nations observance of Older Americans Month. This years theme, Connect, Create, Contribute, encourages older adults and their communities to:

  • Connect with friends, family, and services that support participation.
  • Create by engaging activities that promote learning, health, and personal enrichment.
  • Contribute time, talent, and life experience to benefit others.

The luncheon is Friday May 17 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Summit Conference and Event Center, located at 411 Sable Blvd. in Aurora.
