LAKEWOOD – Two inmates that escaped from the Lookout Mountain Youth Services Center are back in custody Tuesday.
According to Golden Police, the two were found in a car on Sixth Ave. in Lakewood.
When approached by officers, the car took off and a chase ensued. The chase ended in a crash at I-70 and Highway 40.
Police said both suspects tried to run but were captured. A juvenile female was also taken into custody.
The two inmates escaped the center late Sunday by climbing out of a window on bed sheets.
