COLORADO SPRINGS – A Colorado Springs couple is pleading with the community for help.
Last week Maria Hightower and her husband got the devastating news that her wedding dress and veil had been stolen after someone broke into the dry cleaning business they were using.
The couple told News 5 they got married about four months ago and were hoping to preserve the items.
Maria Hightower said, “It’s so much sentimental value and kind of gets overlooked, like so many people still have their dresses and we don’t really realize how much it means to us until it’s gone.”
The couple said the dry cleaner near Peterson Road and Palmer Park did file a police report, but no leads on the dress or veil yet.
They’re asking the community to keep an eye out for the items.
