Two people arrested in connection to shooting outside Fountain Applebee’s

FOUNTAIN – Two people are in custody more than a week after a fatal shooting in the parking lot of a Fountain Applebee’s restaurant.

Fountain police say the two individuals have been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 20-year-old Cordell Rosenberg.

Rosenburg was found dead in a parking lot outside of the restaurant on April 21.

Fountain Police have identified the two people in custody as 19-year-old Fernando Craig and 20-year-old Shawna Cowden. Both are being charged with First Degree Murder and have been booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

The shooting was the first homicide in Fountain in 2019.
