PUEBLO – Prom season is here and Pueblo emergency responders wanted to send out a graphic reminder to local high school students.

The Pueblo Police Department hosted a DUI simulation at Centennial High School on Monday.

The simulation is meant to show students what can happen if you get behind the wheel after you’ve been drinking.

A senior attending Centennial High School said it was an eye-opening experience.

Students were shown what firefighters are capable of doing during a major accident.

A Pueblo Police officer also demonstrated to students what a sobriety test consists of.

Even though high school students should not be drinking, the message is simple- don’t drive drunk.
