COLORADO SPRINGS – Saturday, future architects in Colorado Springs got a chance to show off their skills at the 13th “Box City” event.
Organizers said the event encourages an interest in building and architecture.
The also said that since the kids are excited about the day, it’s easy to get volunteers and sponsors to participate.
One parent said it’s a good way to encourage an interest here kids already have.
“The kids love putting things together like legos, so we decided to come here to see what they can do,” said parent, Joy Telias.
“Box City” was part of this year’s “Architecture Month” slate of events.
