FORT CARSON – A Fort Carson soldier has been missing since Monday night.
The soldier was participating in the Expert Field Medical Badge competition and was last seen at approximately 9:45 p.m. on foot at the Land Navigation Course, located along the southeastern corner of the post, near the Pueblo West area.
Fort Carson is not releasing any further information until the soldiers next of kin have been informed of the situation.
The Mountain Post said soldiers, Directorate of Emergency Services personnel, and El Paso County Search and Rescue teams are conducting a ground search in the area where the soldier was last seen. Helicopters are also searching from the air.
