Body found in the water along the Pueblo Riverwalk

PUEBLO – Police are investigating after a body was recovered from the Pueblo Riverwalk Tuesday morning.

According to Pueblo police, construction workers discovered a man’s body in the water near the convention center construction site around 9 a.m. Police said they determined the body was a homeless man who frequented the area and was known by officers.

Police say they do not suspect any foul play. The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine a cause of death.

The man’s name has not been released.
