COLORADO SPRINGS – A man died early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on North Carefree Circle and Whip Trail.
According to authorities, the man was driving at a high speed, lost control of his car and spun around one time before crashing through a fence and into a shed in a residential neighborhood.
Officials confirmed the driver died on the scene. The man’s name has not yet been released.
The Major Crash Unit wrapped up their on-scene investigation and re-opened the area around 7 a.m.
This makes the tenth traffic-related fatality in Colorado Springs this year.
