El Paso County to host wilderness survival class

EL PASO COUNTY – Want to learn wilderness survival from an expert?

Now is your chance!

El Paso County is holding a wilderness survival class taught by Colorado native and owner of The Survival University, Jason Marsteiner.

According to the county, Marsteiner has been practicing survival techniques most of his life, began officially teaching survival in 2010, and is a former instructor at one of the largest survival schools in the world.

Attendees to the class will learn the basics of wilderness survival, like the Rule of Threes, the top 10 must haves in the backcountry, the top 10 mistakes people make in the outdoors, wild animal safety, and more.

The class will be held at the Bear Creek Nature Center on Thursday, March 28th from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The class is for adults and children over the age of 13. The cost is $25 per person.
