SOUTHERN COLORADO – There is some big news for the treatment of cancer across southern Colorado.

Centura Health, Penrose Health Services, and Saint Mary Corwin have announced that they have been accepted into the MD Anderson Cancer Network.

This means they can now share resources and treatment plans with one of the most well-known leaders in cancer care.

It also means better help for certain patients and doctors.

“It creates an option where they can reach out to their colleagues at MD Anderson who are ultra-specialists and they can dialogue the case and come up with a comprehensive care plan together,” said Penrose St. Francis CEO, Dr. Brian Erling.

To qualify to join the network, the hospitals had to undergo an extensive and thorough review process.
