13 people indicted in connection to raids at two illegal marijuana stores

COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Police reported Tuesday that 13 people have been indicted in connection to raids at two illegal marijuana stores.

All 13 have pleaded guilty to numerous charges.

Arrests were made at Hoppz Cropz Boulder and Hoppz Croppz Delta in Colorado Springs.

The suspects are facing multiple charges, including trafficking marijuana, weapons-related charges, and tax-related felonies.

The man identified as the ringleader, Joseph Hopper, pleaded guilty to the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act and Tax Evasion.

Police said the businesses failed to pay more than a quarter of a million dollars in taxes on profits made from marijuana sales.
