COLORADO SPRINGS – Downtown Colorado Springs is losing a Starbucks location, but the Downtown Partnership expects the location to see a quick turnaround.
It’s one of more than 100 locations closing after an announcement last year that the company would close some poorly performing stores.
The Partnership says the coffee shop’s closing has nothing to do with the health of downtown.
“Actually things are going really, really well,” said Downtown Partnership CEO Susan Edmondson. “We’re seeing new business come in, particularly a lot of food and beverage restaurant options cause people really do enjoy going out in that kind of unique environment of downtown.”
The last day of business for the store is Sunday, but there are two other Starbucks locations downtown.
