COLORADO SPRINGS — School District 11 announced at this week’s board meeting that some calendar adjustments are necessary to make up for time lost after a high number of weather-related closures this past winter.

Parents have been notified that all high schools and several middle schools will be adjusting their class time for the remainder of the school year.

Those middle schools include: Galileo, Jenkins, North, Russell, Sabin, West Middle School, and Tesla Middle School.

As required by State Law, all middle and high schools must schedule 1,080 hours of instructional time and must conduct 1,056 hours of instructional time each school year.
