SUMMIT COUNTY — A young girl has died after a skiing accident at Breckenridge Ski Resort.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says the girl, who was under the age of 18, crashed into a tree just after 11:00 a.m. Thursday on Peak 10.
She was taken to Breckenridge Medical Clinic and later pronounced dead.
The girl’s identity has not been released, pending notification of family.
It’s also unknown what level of a run the victim was on at the time of the crash or whether or not she was wearing a helmet.
