COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Fire Department is in the process of upgrading equipment.
Wednesday, the department unveiled three brand new state of the art of pumper trucks.
Because of tight budgets over the past few years, the city has had to keep engines running, some that are over 17-years-old.
The trucks are designed specifically for the Springs. They have shorter wheelbases, powerful engines, and more storage.
The price tag for one of these new trucks…half a million.
