FOUNTAIN – Tuesday, the City of Fountain announced the appointment of James Maxon as the community’s new Fire Chief.
According to the city, Maxon most recently served as Fire Chief of the Sandoval County Fire Department in New Mexico. He brings 26 years of fire service and emergency medical service experience to the job.
Maxon is also a U.S. Air Force veteran.
“To say it is an honor to be selected as the City of Fountain’s next Fire Chief is an understatement,” Maxon said. “The Fountain Fire Department has a long history of excellence, professionalism, and community involvement. I am excited for the opportunity to be part of the fire department and the City of Fountain leadership team.”
