FREMONT COUNTY – We’re learning more about plans to develop a tourist attraction on the former “Buckskin Joe” site near the Royal Gorge.
We told you back in October that the new owner planned to build the “Royal Gorge Ranch and Resort,” featuring some 300 tiny homes on one-acre plots.
Wednesday though, the owner said he’s turning the Old Royal Gorge Scenic Railroad tracks and tressles into miles of handicap-accessible walking and biking trails all the way to “Point Alta Vista.”
The owner said the first phase of the Royal Gorge Ranch and Resort should be open by Labor Day weekend.
