FORT CARSON – The Fountain-Fort Carson School District said a threat reported by a student at Carson Middle School Tuesday morning was not credible.
District Spokesperson Christy McGee said there is not a threat to any schools, but she added that there is a “heightened awareness” at Carson Middle School.
McGee said Fort Carson Military Police are at the school as a precaution, but there are no procedural changes or schedule changes as a result of the threat.
She told News5 that the student spotted the threat on the social media app Tellonym and reported it. However, she said there isn’t any evidence that someone from a local school is behind the threat.
