COLORADO SPRINGS – Highway US-24 will undergo some changes soon.
The Colorado Department of Transportation will install flexible delineators within the current painted median on US-24, west of Judge Orr Road to prevent westbound and southbound left turns onto Blue Gill Road.
The goal is right-in and right-out access only to Blue Gill Road.
CDOT is making changes after the intersections raised some safety concerns as the number of crashes has risen.
Maintenance crews will be installing the delineators within the next 30 days. Construction is anticipated to happen overnight for minimal traffic delays.
This change could only be temporary in preparation of a full reconfiguration of the entire intersection to ensure the safety of drivers traveling this route.
