COLORADO SPRINGS – A major intersection is opening back up in Colorado Springs.
Starting Friday, the three way stop between Pikes Peak Ave., Hancock Ave., and Union Blvd with be open for two way traffic. Even though the intersection is open, Pikes Peak Ave. will remain closed between Hancock Ave. to Institute St.
There are options to get around the closure.
Westbound traffic will take Hancock Ave. north to Platte Ave., then west to N. Wahsatch Ave. and south back onto Pikes Peak Ave.
Eastbound traffic can take S. Institute St. south to E. Cucharras St. and then head east on Hancock Ave. and then north to get back onto Pikes Peak Ave.
