COLORADO SPRINGS — Old-school manners are new to 50 Fountain Ft. Carson High School students who went through etiquette training this week.

The students are part of a DECA club at their school and spent time learning the ins and outs of proper 5-star dining ahead of a dinner at The Broadmoor Hotel, and the students were receptive.

Senior Leanna Spangler says, “even if you don’t have to use it, it’s interesting, and I always feel good sitting at a table knowing exactly what to do, and being able to impress the older generation around me.”

Etiquette training included learning skills such as proper soup eating and proper bread and butter handling at a large table.
