PUEBLO WEST- There’s a problem running rampant in Pueblo West, illegal dumping.

The district says more people are just leaving their trash all over the place. In one case, workers ran into one case where a front loader was needed because there was so much junk. Not only are the piles of trash eyesores, they are causing a bigger problem.

“It takes a crew that is, you know, doing some form of road maintenance,” said Jay Michael-Baker, community and engagement manager. “Whether it be grating a road or fixing shoulders. It takes them off that duty to have to go clean up the mess.”

The district is asking for your help fighting back. If you see someone illegally dumping, take down their license plate and call the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office at (719) 583-6125.
