PUEBLO – Police officers in Pueblo arrested fugitive Raymond Casanova and his girlfriend early this morning in the area of Northern and Pine.
A group of 8 Pueblo Police officers with the Safe Streets Task Force were set up near the intersection to watch for any sign of Casanova after getting information on his whereabouts.
Casanova was wanted on felony warrants. He reportedly was carrying a large knife at the time of the arrest, as well as a bunch of “shaved” keys which officers say are known to be used in car thefts.
Casanova will be charged with outstanding warrants and officers will request charges for possession of the knife and keys as well. Officers have not yet released the name of the girlfriend or if she will face charges.
