CSPD serving warrant on Riverdale Dr., residents asked to secure homes

COLORADO SPRINGS – Around 11 a.m. Saturday morning, the Colorado Springs Police Department reported they were serving a felony warrant in the 6200 block of Riverdale Dr.

Their message advised residents in the area to secure their homes by locking doors and windows. All other citizens were advised to avoid the area.

Police said the suspect they were servicing the warrant for is wanted for homicide.

The Tactical Enforcement Unit responded and cleared the scene. The suspect was not at the location.

Just before 2 p.m., CSPD said the scene was clear and there were no additional threats to the community.
