COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs firefighters have gained the upper hand on a fire that burned a multi-unit structure Wednesday morning.
The fire started around 6 a.m. Wednesday in an 8-unit structure off of E. Monument Street, near the intersection of Platte and Circle.
No one was injured in the fire, but a total of seven people were displaced due to damage to the structure. Firefighters told News5 that it burned through structural elements of the building, making the source of the fire difficult to find.
The cause is under investigation.
