Two charged with murder for December killing in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS – Two people are now in custody and facing First Degree Murder charges after a homicide on Lacy Lane on December 8th.

32-year old Nicholas Romero was found dead in the parking lot of the Windmill Apartment complex after police were contacted about shots being fired. The Colorado Springs police Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation after Romero was pronounced deceased.

Savino Acenco is charged with first degree murder in Colorado Springs.

On December 18th, 22-year old Saphire Nicks was arrested and on January 4th, the Colorado Springs police took 20-year old Savino Benjamin Anceno into custody.
