DENVER – Multiple roads near the Colorado State Capitol building are either currently closed or they will be later Monday night as preparations continue for the inauguration of Governor-elect Jared Polis on Tuesday.
If you are planning a trip into the downtown Denver area, you may have to alter your route. You will encounter some fairly major delays if you plan on driving in and around Capitol Hill area today and through tomorrow night.
Lincoln Street is closed between 13th Avenue and Colfax.
Sherman Street from 13th Avenue to 14th Avenue and 14th Avenue from Broadway to Grant Street closes down later on this evening.
All of the streets affected are to remain closed until Tuesday night and they’re expected to be reopened after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.
