Castle Rock detectives served a warrant Thursday to a man suspected of defrauding multiple women while posing as a fake Denver Broncos player.

Police arrested 49-year-old James Turner Thursday for felony theft, forgery, felony identity theft and felony criminal impersonation. Turner was previously arrested for an unrelated sexual assault case that occurred in October. As police investigated that case, they discovered he was a suspect in additional crimes after a woman came forward claiming he defrauded her.

According to police, Turner told several women that he was “Dante Sir Foster,” a made-up persona who has no affiliation with the Broncos or the NFL.

Police are still investigating Turner, and they’re asking for help. If anyone has information about Turner or was a victim, call the Castle Rock Police tip line at 720-733-3517 or by email at CrimeTips@CRgov.com.
