COLORADO SPRINGS – For the next month, crews will be replacing decades-old pipes under the roads and sidewalks in the Old North End neighborhood.
Work will stretch along Nevada Avenue from Willamette to Fillmore. Expect to see heavy equipment, lane realignments, and road closures.
They say safety for driver and construction crews are a big concern.
“This is a very big road, massive amounts of traffic, and hopefully people are paying attention. Really, they should try to avoid Nevada during the next six weeks just for safety reasons,” says Engineering Support Supervisor Jason Hylton.
City crews will be contacting homeowners in the area about work schedules and possible interruptions in water service.
