Three Colorado Springs stores robbed in span of two hours

COLORADO SPRINGS – Christmas Eve eve was a busy night for police across Colorado Springs.

Three stores were robbed across the city in a span of just two hours.

Around 10:15 Sunday night, Sand Creek officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Union in regard to a robbery with a weapon.

An investigation revealed two male suspects entered the business and demanded cash. CSPD said the suspects fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money and liquor bottles. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

About an hour and a half later, just before midnight, Sand Creek officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of S. Chelton in response to another robbery.

CSPD said three male suspects wearing hoodies and bandana assaulted store employees and fled with an undetermined amount of money. No suspects have currently been located or identified.

The third robbery occurred just after midnight in the 3400 block of N. Academy Blvd.

Officers from the Stetson Hills Division were dispatched in regard to a robbery with a weapon. Two male suspects entered the business and demanded cash. They fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money. Officers were unable to locate the suspects after a search of the area.

CSPD has not released any further information regarding these crimes. The department did not say if there was any connection between the crimes or suspects.
