COLORADO SPRINGS – Classes will be canceled for the remainder of the week for Kindergarten through third grade students at the Vanguard School in Colorado Springs.
The school said the cancellation is due to a rise in student illnesses.
A statement on the school’s website read, in part:
“We understand that this is an inconvenience to our families; however, our priority is the health and well-being of our students.
We look forward to our students returning in January rested and in good health.”
The school said staff had hoped closing on Monday would have allowed time for students to get better, but absences increased instead.
Classes and other activities will continue as scheduled for all other students.
