LAS ANIMAS COUNTY – The funeral services for Matthew Moreno, the Las Animas County Sheriff’s Deputy killed in a crash last week, will be held Thursday in Pueblo.
Monday, Moreno was taken in a procession from Trinidad to Pueblo.
Last Wednesday, Moreno was involved in a wreck on Highway 12, west of Trinidad. A mother and her young son were also killed in the crash.
Family, friends, and colleagues will honor Sergeant Moreno at noon on Thursday in the Memorial Hall in Pueblo.
