Colorado Springs Planning Commission to consider major amendment to Briargate Master Plan

Posted

COLORADO SPRINGS – The City of Colorado Springs Planning Commission will consider a major amendment to the Briargate Master Plan this coming week.

The consideration involves turning vacant land originally set aside for a sports complex into new residential developments.

About two years ago, the city traded the roughly 60-acre parcel near Powers and Old Ranch Road with a developer, for a different property near Old Ranch and Voyager for a youth baseball complex.

Plan documents suggest anywhere from 250 to 500 new residential units could be built on the land.
