PUEBLO- Female firefighters in Pueblo will get their own bathrooms.

Pueblo City Council approved $225,000 to go toward gender-specific bathrooms at four fire stations.

“We are now trying to address not just the gender issue but the privacy of all our members, and being able to ensure that when they’re needing to shower and do that we have the appropriate facilities for their privacy as well,” Deputy Chief Ricky Potter said.

The fire department hopes to have all four bathrooms done next year.
