COLORADO SPRINGS – Firefighters have gained control on a two-alarm structure fire in southwest Colorado Springs Friday morning.
It started a little after 6 a.m . at a home in the 300 block of Wedgewood Court, which is west of the Cheyenne Mountain Resort and south of the Broadmoor.
At one time, video from the scene showed most of the structure was engulfed in flames. CSFD was forced to fight it from the outside of the home. As of 7:30 a.m., firefighters are mopping up hot spots.
It’s unclear at this time if anyone was inside or if anyone was hurt. News 5’s Shayla Girardin is at the scene and is talking to firefighters to learn more.
