COLORADO SPRINGS – A box truck traveling southbound I-25 at Garden of the Gods lost control and slammed into the guardrail before rolling over just after 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
As of 9:00 a.m. traffic remains at a standstill heading south. We recommend using Centennial to head south or Nevada Avenue.
The driver was trapped in the truck and has since been removed from the vehicle. The condition of the driver is unknown.
Colorado Springs Police and cleanup crews blocked lanes and the ramp to Garden of the Gods because of significant fuel spill and debris removal.
