PUEBLO – Police have charged 17-year-old with second degree murder for the October 25th shooting death of Elijah Naranjo.
Detectives determined Naranjo, age 17, was shot near the parking lot at Runyon Lake, but was rushed to Parkview Medical Center by unnamed parties. The teen was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say the shooting happened during a fight near a parking lot at Runyon Lake. Officers said the shooting happened as a result of “a disturbance between parties in two separate vehicles.”
Later that night, detectives arrested the suspect for being a juvenile in possession of a firearm. The murder charge was added later. His name has not been released.
Police said this is Pueblo’s ninth homicide of 2018.
