Get your resume ready, a community job fair is coming to Chapel Hills Mall

COLORADO SPRINGS – USAA is teaming up with the Pikes Peak Workforce Center to get you back to work.

The two will partner for a Community and Veterans Job Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Chapel Hills Mall Event Center, 1710 Briargate Blvd. More than 190 employers will be on hand, ready to take your resume and offer you a job.

“They are ready to speak with job seeker, and all of them are actively hiring and have open positions,” said Traci Marques, executive director and CEO of the Pikes Peak Workforce Center.

Some of the industries that will be on hand include

  • Construction
  • Customer Service/ Sales
  • Cyber Security
  • Department of Defense contractors
  • Drivers/Transportation
  • Education
  • Financial/ Insurance/ Business
  • Food Service
  • Government
  • Health Care
  • Hospitality
  • Information Technology/ Technical
  • Law Enforcement, Federal, State and Local
  • Manufacturing
  • Staffing

The event is open to the general public, as well as transitioning military, Guard and Reserve members, veterans and their spouses and family members.

“We hope many people will take advantage of this opportunity to find a new job or career,” Marques said.

The fair is open to the general public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Veterans, transitioning military and their spouses and families can attend starting at 10 a.m.
