PEYTON – A man is in jail after a suspicious death in a home in the 10400 block of Mt. Wilson Place was determined to be a homicide.
El Paso County Deputies were called to the home at about 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning. When they arrived, they found a deceased female inside the residence. Through the course of the investigation, officers upgraded the woman’s death to a homicide.
45-year old Thomas Jackson was taken into custody at about 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night. Jackson faces a charge of First Degree Murder and he’s being held at the Criminal Justice Center.
The identity of the victim is not being released until positive identification is made by the Coroner’s Office and the next of kin have been notified.
