PUEBLO – One of the suspects in an August 13th shooting in Pueblo is now behind bars on a charge of attempted first-degree murder. Howard is being held without bond.
37-year-old Joshua Lee Howard was identified as a suspect in the shooting of Jason Ayala on E. Evans St. According to police, Ayala was riding a bicycle when he was shot in the back by a passenger in a moving car.
Despite his injuries, Ayala made it into a convenience store to ask for help. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Howard is being held without bond.
Pueblo Police announce the next day they were searching for Howard and alleged accomplice 30-year-old Holly Kristine Moreno. Officers have not located Moreno who is also wanted for attempted first-degree murder.
