PROWERS COUNTY – A 62-year-old man from Wiley, Colorado was killed when his pickup went off the road into a ditch Wednesday afternoon.
Colorado State Patrol reports 91-year-old Thomas Gilbert of Lamar was driving a John Deere tractor eastbound on Prowers County Road SS when he took a left turn in front of the Chevrolet S-10 driven by Monty Walls.
Walls drove his truck off the road where it crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene 3 miles east of Wiley. The driver of the tractor was not injured.
State Patrol is considering charges against Gilbert as they investigate the crash.
