FREMONT COUNTY – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office released the identity of the victim of a homicide along Copper Gulch Road lat Saturday night.
The victim, identified as 27-year-old Jonathon Kern, was killed in a shooting in Cotopaxi last weekend.
On Saturday evening deputies were called to the area of K Path and 30th trail for a man who was shot to death. Authorities said they believe it was an isolated incident and there was not a threat to the public.
The area is rural with widely separated homes to the southeast of Lookout Mountain.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
