Man arrested in deadly shooting at apartment complex

COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Police have released the name of the man who was found shot to death on Chapman Drive this week– they have also made an arrest in the murder.

Police said the body of 39-year-old Raymond Daniel McCall was found on September 18, 2018, at the Pine Creek Apartments, he was reportedly walking his dog just after 10:00 p.m. when he was shot.

Officers arrested 41-year-old Jeremy Dewayne Jones in the shooting. Jones is charged with first-degree murder. Officers have not elaborated on a motive in the attack.

McCall’s death is now the 25th homicide of the year in Colorado Springs. Police report there were 21 homicides at this same time last year.
