COLORADO SPRINGS – Three people were hit by a pickup as they were waiting for a bus near the corner of S. Nevada and E. Las Vegas in Colorado Springs on Tuesday morning.
According to police, the driver veered off the road, hit the bus stop bench, and a light pole before stopping.
The crash closed down all of northbound S. Nevada as firefighters and AMR medics checked on the injured.
There were three people injured. All were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor to severe injuries.
Colorado Springs Police issued a citation to the driver, 18-year-old Atlas Maeli, for careless driving resulting in injury.
