CAÑON CITY – A burglary suspect on the run for more than an hour in Cañon City is in custody as of 10:15 this morning.
There was an increased police presence as Fremont County deputies, Florence Police, and Cañon City Police tracked down the suspect seen on Ash Street, between Elm Ave. and Grand Ave.
The sheriff’s office shared a photo of the suspect in cuffs as he was being searched for any weapons or contraband behind a home.
An emergency notification was sent out to people living in the area about the search.
