Pueblo Police found drugs and stolen credit cards after tazing a man who they say was threatening them.
Officers were called to the area of W. 27th and Court streets at 6:09 p.m. on Aug. 29. The suspect, 36-year-old John Melvin Allen is know to officers for having several alerts for officer safety.
Police found two large knives on his person and as they tried to speak with him officers reported he became combative.
That’s when he was tazed. During a subsequent search, officers found methamphetamine and several credit cards belonging to another person in Allen’s possession.
He’s now facing drug and possession of a financial device charges. Allen was also wanted for contempt in an unrelated case.
