Aug 30th UPDATE: The Colorado Springs Police Department has released the name of a man who was shot and killed while riding his motorcycle in the 1300 block of E. Las Animas Street Monday.
He was Terrell Cortez Madrid Duran, 30, of Colorado Springs. His death has been ruled the city’s 20th homicide of 2018. There had been 20 homicides in Colorado Springs at this time last year as well.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Police say a man who was shot in the back on a motorcycle near Memorial Park Monday night has died.
CSPD said the call came in at 8:44 p.m.as a shots fired call, and that the shots possibly came from Memorial Park. The scene is located in the 1300 block of Las Animas Street.
Police say they have few leads to go on and are asking anyone with information to give them a call at 719-444-7000.
The victim’s name has not been released.
