FOUNTAIN – We now know the name of the man killed by a car while crossing the road at Fountain Mesa Rd. and Mesa Ridge Parkway late Monday.
The Fountain Police say that 48-year old Marc Abeyta was crossing against the crosswalk when he stepped into oncoming traffic. He died at the scene.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene to talk with emergency personnel. Investigators don’t believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
